RICK PURCELL is no stranger to the Pittsburgh Musical
Scene. He has been a dominant force in the market of wedding
receptions, country club affairs, charity balls, convention banquets and all
other types of private parties since the mid 1980's. His band (whether
the 6 piece Rick Purcell Band or the 12 piece Rick Purcell Big Band) has
played virtually every location and for every type of event imaginable.
Rick's band has always been known for their musical performance excellence
and versatility. Literally playing everything from the big band era
music of the 30's and 40's to 50's rock'n'roll, 60's motown and pop, 70's
disco, 80's, 90's and contemporary artists like Pink and Ricky Martin.
SHARI RICHARDS has traveled a far
different path before she joined forces with Rick Purcell. An
award-winning blues/rock vocalist, she has performed in the area's best
blues & rock night clubs, as well as concerts, festivals, and college
campuses. She has performed regularly at Jimmy Buffet's
Margaritaville in Key West, Florida, as well as traveling to Europe to
perform in Greece, France and other locations. She has performed
at the Byham in "Tommy" and "Beehive." A musical and stage
chameleon, able to transform form her musical background to perform the
songs of the big band era with style and grace. She has a dynamic
stage appearance, adding showmanship and excitement to any event!
