The Pittsburgh area's most versatile and experienced private

wedding receptions, country club affairs, company parties, bar/bat mitzvahs,

private parties.
THE RICK PURCELL BIG BAND featuring SHARI RICHARDS
Up to twelve pieces with more of an emphasis on The Big
Band Era, but this isn't "Your Grandma's Big Band." This band can do
the same variety repertoire as Rick's regular band. The perfect
musical entertainment for Charity Balls (Rick has done them all including
The Bishop's Medallion Ball, The Cinderella Ball, The CLO's Pink Frolic, The
Pittsburgh Opera's Diamond Horseshoe and Maecenas Balls; and the Children's
Hospital Ball in Akron, Ohio for more than 20 consecutive years), large
wedding receptions and conventions.
With Shari on Vocals and Guitar and Rick doing Keyboard
and Vocals, this is one of the most unique duos anywhere. The
repertoire is vast; from Cole Porter and George Gershwin music to Billy Joel
and Beatles music. Whether it's Shari doing some Blues, Stevie Nicks,
Janis Joplin, Etta James, Carole King, Roberta Flack, or old standards like
Natalie Cole and Linda Ronstadt, or Rick's interpretations of Van Morrison,
Jimmy Buffet, Elton John, Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra or Bobby Darin. This duo is just right for cocktail/dinner parties, smaller wedding
receptions or a country club or convention cocktail buffet mixer.
It can be Rick doing solo background instrumental music on
a piano for lunch, brunch, cocktails or dinner. It may be Rick on electric
keyboard, if a piano is not available. Rick can add vocals to the solo
performance just like in his duo, if the occasion requires vocals as well as
instrumental music. Broadway, Jazz, Pop, Light Classical, Rick can
perform whatever style piano or keyboard music that you need.
Karla Kvam’s “Ensemble Canzona” offers a wide array
of musical venues for your celebration. From a Flute and guitar duo,
Flute and piano duo, Flute trio (Flute, violin, cello) or Flute Quartet
(Flute, violin, viola, cello), "Ensemble Canzona" can provide the right
ambiance for any occasion. Classical music for wedding ceremonies,
receptions, cocktail or dinner parties. Broadway and Pop music, too.
REID HOYSON AND "SOIREE"
A 7 piece, wide variety band, "Soiree" features Reid
Hoyson on drums, vocalist Jill Simmons, 2 horns, keyboard, guitar and bass.
"Soiree" can perform the same variety and quality as Rick's own band.
ANDY YOUNG QUARTET
Andy Young is a sensational keyboard/pianist who works in
a super 4 piece group with drums, trumpet/flugelhorn and female vocal. A small, but very versatile band to fit your needs, whether your need be for
dance music or listening music.
LILLY ABREU, VOCALIST
Lilly is a tremendous vocalist and also a native of
Brazil. She received her Masters Degree in Voice and Opera from
Carnegie Mellon University. She can add the right touch to a wedding
ceremony with her wonderfully trained classical voice. But Lilly also
sings Brazilian Bossa Nova and Samba jazz in both Portuguese and English.
With this Brazilian repertoire and great music from Broadway and the
standards of the "Great American Songbook" (Cole Porter, George Gerswin,
Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein, Jerome Kern, etc), Lilly can also add
the perfect musical touch to a cocktail party, cocktail/dinner party, or as
entertainment after a dinner or a luncheon. Lilly usually appears with
keyboard accompaniment.
TOM HABERMAN, SOLO GUITARIST
Tom has been the solo guiarist on most weekends since
March of 2002 in The Duquesne Club's Pine Room. An extremely elegant
music touch, Tom's virtuoso guitar playing spans classical, Broadway, pop
and jazz music, to add just the right touch to your cocktail and/or dinner
party.
